The Gloucester Fishermen’s Wives Memorial

The memorial is on the boulevard waterfront in Gloucester Massachusetts, one of the oldest fishing communities in the country.    The August 2001 dedication was the culmination of two years of work, and 8 years of planning.  The Gloucester Fishermen’s Wives Association is a powerful voice in sustaining the fishing industry and its vital community. The bronze and granite sculpture stands twelve feet high.
